3 step process for ACC3 validation

Step 1:Pre-Validation

1st step of validation process is pre-validation assessment.
1st step must be conclusive before the EU aviation security validator can proceed to step 2.

Step 2: On-site validation.

The effectiveness and the efficacy of the air carriers' security processes will be checked on-site by  EU aviation security validator. He will then provide his validation report for ACC3 to the appropriate authority of the Member State administering the validated air carrier.

Step 3: Designation

Based on the EU aviation security validation report confirming the implementation of
security measure, the appropriate authority shall designate the air carrier as ACC3.

PRE-VALIDATION

Why pre-validation?
